Bringing UNESCO Heritage to Life*

PROGRAM:

 

18:00–20:00 Tour of the interactive exhibition S(w)inging Gardens, straw garden-making workshop led by folk artist Marija Liugienė, and a screening of the documentary Kalbantys sodai (S(w)inging Gardens, directed by Donatas Simaitis, 2024).

20:00–21:00 In anticipation of the 2026 Lithuanian School Song Festival: singing together with the children’s choir Ugnelė (conducted by Valerija Skapienė)—open to all, no prior musical experience needed.

21:00–23:00 Meetings with cross-crafters: woodcarver Adolfas Teresius and blacksmith Saulius Kronis. Screenings of the animated film Ąžuolo paslaptis (The Secret of the Oak, directed by Antanas Skučas, 2023) and the documentary Kryždirbio genas (The Cross-crafter Gene, directed by Jonas Tumasonis, 2024).

22:00–23:00 Screening of the documentary Šventė (The Celebration, directed by Ieva Šakalytė and Darius Dapkus, 2025).

23:00–00:00 Traditional multipart singing (sutartinės) lessons by the campfire, led by the ensemble Trys keturiose (artistic director Daiva Vyčinienė).
