GUIDED TOURS IN THE EXHIBITION "TIME OF CHANGE: THEATER, MUSIC, CINEMA AND ART 1985-1995"

During the guided tour "TIME OF CHANGE: Theater, Music, Cinema and Art 1985-1995", we invite you to look at one of the most important decades of the modern state through the lens of art phenomena, understand the specifics of the end of the Soviet era and the first post-independence period. As many as 100 works by creators will help to notice these changes, including Kazė Zimblytė's "In memoriam", Šarūnas Sauka's "Man with Problems", Darius Žiūra's "Pine of God", Kęstutis Grigaliūnas' "Fluxus" box. There are also original movie posters, videos of the most important of that time, reflected in the three sub-themes of the exhibition. The sub-theme “Art and Politics” helps to understand the involvement of artists in the struggle for state independence, “New Language” reflects the changes in the language and aesthetics of art that have taken place over the decade, and “Identity Ranges” allows us to capture the tendencies of Lithuanian identity formation.

Duration of the sightseeing tour: 1 hour.
Guided tours are conducted only in Lithuanian.
Tours are for a group of at least ten people, pre-registration is required.
