Experiential March 11 Program: “Code: FREEDOM”

Experiential March 11 Program: “Code: FREEDOM”

Every year on March 11, the Center for Civic Education invites visitors to explore Lithuanian history from an unexpected angle. This year, visitors will enjoy a special experience – not an exhibition or traditional education process, but an engaging escape game that transports them to different moments in the history of freedom And this will be no ordinary escape: participants will embark on a journey through six spaces where history becomes a challenge and the answers lead toward a single shared goal.

Program participants will be invited into six different themed “escape rooms,” featuring tasks inspired by real historical experiences. Here, they will search for banned publications, decipher secret messages, experience the unity of the Baltic Way, symbolically “sew” the tricolor flag, listen to voices of freedom from behind the Iron Curtain, and solve interactive challenges revealing life during the years of occupation.

Each space is like a separate story, but only by completing all the tasks will participants be able to discover the decisive code!

The program is designed in line with contemporary educational principles – learning through experience, play, and collaboration. “Code: FREEDOM” is also an invitation to understand that what we have today – freedom – cannot be taken for granted. It is created through people’s choices, courage, and unity.

We look forward to seeing you on March 11 from 12:00 to 18:00 (last visitors admitted at 17:00). Registration is not required, and admission is free.
