Permanent exhibition

The permanent exhibition of the Centre for Civil Education is located on the three floors of the President Palace of the Republic of Lithuania. The exhibition introduces the essential elements of the state: its territory, inhabitants, institutions and their functions. Various parts of the exhibition are dedicated to citizens' freedoms and rights, their opportunities to become involved in the state governance by knowing their country, participating in its life, and building their own future and that of their fellow citizens. The exhibitions provide an overview of the history of the state, the change of the relation between the citizen and the state as well as the notion of citizenship, the rights and duties of citizens, and the main functions of the government. Interactive stands and modern technologies transfer the principles of a democratic state into the visitor's experience: everyone can independently choose the topics that they are most interested in and search for the information in more than 700 graphic codes!
